“星战”游戏被砍 将制作新动画剧集

Yes, a lot of Star Wars projects have landed on the chopping block since Disney bought out LucasFilm. But despite the bloodshed, it sounds like that new animated series we've heard about is still plugging along through development。

The beloved animated series Star Wars: Clone Wars is already winding down, and the epic Blade Runner-ish video game Star Wars: 1313 is also on the skids, but Clone Wars supervising director Dave Filoni says he’s already working with Disney to prep a new animated series set in Lucas’ playground. So, fingers crossed。

迪斯尼公司收购卢卡斯影业后，很多“星球大战”系列的开发计划被取消。但是尽管竞争十分激烈，但新的“星战”动画连续剧仍然排除万难，被保留了下来。

深受观众喜爱的动画剧《星球大战：克隆人战争》已经被取消，类同于《银翼杀手》的视频游戏《星球大战：1313》也处在被砍的边缘。但是《星球大战：克隆人战争》的导演戴夫·费罗尼表示，他正在与迪斯尼公司洽谈，准备打造一部新的以卢卡斯为主角的动画剧集。

以下是他在接受IGN网站采访时所作出的回应：

Here’s what he was willing to tell IGN about the project:

“At this point, I am involved in some early production discussions and exploration of what we’ll be doing with Star Wars animation in the future, which is really exciting for me and I have some friendly faces around me, of course, that are helping me on the project. So it’s a transition time, as I’ve said before, and I think it will lead to an exciting time and hopefully I’ll see things grow again。”

“目前，我们正在对新动画剧集的开发做些一些前期的讨论和探索，帮助我进行这项工作的人员都非常的友好，这让我感到很高兴。就如我之前所说的，现在是一个过渡期，我认为情况会越来越好，前景应该会很不错。”

As for Disney’s decision to shutter LucasArts and layoff about 150 employees? It’s sad, but a nature of the business, and all he can do is keep plugging away and hope for the best:

对于迪斯尼公司作出的关闭卢卡斯艺术工作室(LucasArts)并裁剪150个员工的决定，费罗尼感到很遗憾，但是这就是商业的本质，他只能尽量往好的方面想，并且继续坚持：

“It’s a function of our industry… It’s not my favorite part. You can luckily grow things and bring on many talented people, but there become times when you have to shrink things as well. We happen to be in one of those times right now, but that just paves the way, hopefully, for new things and new creativity in the future。”
